Each time I sign books at the German Cultural Society’s hall at 3652 S. Jefferson Ave., I get a new appreciation of German culture. Tonight (Saturday, Dec. 1) was no exception. At the Tag des Deutschen Kultuervereins (Day of the German Cultural Society), members got a free meal and were treated to lots of dance numbers by the younger set. There’s no dearth of young people in this group. Those who bought books from me included Mike Wendl, who is on my left in the picture.
